My Office

My Office

My wife is the greatest! When we moved recently into a larger home she infomed me that the spare bedroom was going to be for me and my Marine Corps things. When I asked if I could help with the room she told me no. Needless to say, she and my daughter did all the work with this room (minus installing the crown molding) and they picked out all the colors, etc… This is my favorite room in the house!

All of the colors are official USMC recruiting colors from Sherwin-Williams. The walls are the khaki just like the khaki shirts. The trim is gold and the crown molding is the blue like on the dress blue trousers. The red wall where my desk sits is the scarlet like that of the blood stripe.

And of course I can't forget to mention the EGA on the wall and the Semper Fi, all courtesy of Sgt Grit.  The old recruiting posters are also from Sgt Grit. The flag on the wall was flown over the USS Arizona on Dec. 7, 2006, 65 years after Pearl Harbor was attacked.

The room is mostly complete. I still have some awards and shadow boxes to hang but for the most part it is complete. I love this room and I have my wonderful wife to thank! I hope everyone that reads this will enjoy it as much as I do.
